Today, listen to the audio document : Records in Ben's family (sent by email) and answer these questions :

 1) Who is the tallest in Ben's family?

2) Who is the shortest?

3) Who is the prettiest?

4) Who is the best at languages?

5) Who is the best at music?

6) What are Ben's records?

Send me your answers by Email. MAKE SENTENCES (on fait des phrases !) 

Un peu de révision du prétérit + des modaux vus en classe :

1) Listen to the song from the beginning to 2 ' 00 (minutes). It is the introduction of the song. Then try to answer these questions in English :

-Does she look happy or unhappy?

-What is she talking about? Money, music, love? Try to sum up her narrative.

-What is (according to you) a "kaleidoscope of memories"? How would you describe it?

- "I don't know if I'm ever gonna (=going to) feel that way again. But I don't know if I should" Can you explain why she says "I don't know if I should"? When do you use "should"?

-Did you understand the part when she talks about "devil" and "angel"? Can you explain it?

2) Try to understand the song and explain the title : "I knew you were trouble"

ATTENTION :

Je vous mets la vidéo Youtube car le fichier mp3 est trop lourd à charger mais on ne REGARDE PAS la vidéo pendant qu'on essaie de comprendre les paroles ! Concentrez-vous uniquement sur les paroles, l'image risque de vous perturber.

Aide à la compréhension de la chanson :

1) On essaie d'abord de se concentrer sur des mots précis. Par exemple, vous pouvez repérer les moments où vous entendez le titre "I knew you were trouble". Est-ce dans les couplets ou les refrains?

+ les mots répétés plusieurs fois, ce sont souvent des mots-clefs ;

+ les rimes qui peuvent aussi vous aider à comprendre les mots importants ;

2) Le rythme, la tonalité de la chanson aide aussi à savoir s'il s'agit de paroles tristes ou non, de colère, de joie etc. Cela peut faciliter la compréhension. 

--> Essayez de réfléchir à tout cela et je vous envoie vite un corrigé. D'ici là vous pouvez m'envoyer vos réponses et vos pistes de réflexion par mail.

Voici la correction du homework sur les projets de vacances des 4èmes (attention ce ne sont que des exemples) :

1) What I will do : 

-I will do my homework

-I will go out with my friends

-I will visit a museum but I don't know which one

FINAL ASSESSMENT : (emplacement pour dire si vous avez finalement réalisé ces projets ou pas) :

-I did my homework during my holidays

-I could/did not not go out with my friends because they were not in Paris

-I visited the Musée d'Orsay

2) What I won't do :

-I won't spend too much money

-I won't forget to tidy my room

-I won't go to Los Angeles !

FINAL ASSESSMENT :

-I didn't spend money at all ! Not even one euro ;)

-I forgot to tidy my room so Mum got mad :(

-I didn't go to Los Angeles...

3) What I may do (portait sur ce que vous feriez peut-être sans en être sûr ni en avoir forcément envie) :

-I may read a book

-I may go to the movies with my brother

-I may take piano lessons

FINAL ASSESSMENT :

-I read a book called Les Misérables for my French class

-I went to the movies with my brother. We watched a horror movie and I was really scared !

-I did not take piano lessons because I did not want to.

4) What I would like to do :  (bonus = ce que vous aimeriez faire sans être sûr de pouvoir le faire)

-I would like to go to the Foire du Trône

-I would like to go to London and visit the Tower of London 

-I would like my friends to be in Paris so that I could go out 

FINAL ASSESSMENT : 

-I did not go to the Foire du Trône

-I did not go to London because it's too expensive

-I could not go out because my friends were not in Paris :(
